I am extremely concerned about the summer reading project. I am not creative at all! I have been thinking a lot about the assignment, trying to come up with some way to make my project interesting. When the projects are done, and everyone has turned them in, I think that looking at everyone’s opinion about the book can help me to understand the book a little better.

At first, I began to get very overwhelmed and nervous when I heard about this assignment. When we were first introduced to the assignment, it seemed like it would be too much work, but I actually think that this is helping us. Letting the teacher know exactly what your concerns are about the class and assignments can only help you with what you have questions about. I expect the blog to be very helpful, but time consuming.

By reading the blogs from last year, I can tell that Mrs. Duke’s class is going to work me down to the bone. I expect homework to be our main grade, but there will be a lot of it. I know that one of the major concerns of students is the homework load, which I’m nervous about. But I expect the homework to only benefit us in the long run, helping us to understand the topics a little more and widen our eyes to see things in a different perspective. I am extremely excited about the concepts we will be covering this year, by reading last year’s post, it seem like this year is a lot of work, but fun as well. Waiting to the last minute to do homework doesn’t seem like it will work in this class, so I will try extra hard to learn how to manage my time better.
